Length: South Bronx Greenway; ? miles
Difficulty: Easy. Paved trails & BIKE LANES.
To Start from
The South Bronx Greenway is a planned trail along the Southern End of the Bronx. Starting from the Bronx Kill, across from RANDALL'S ISLAND PARK , where a 4.5 mile waterfront pathway circles the island, it will travel East, along the East River to Hunts Point. It will head North, along the Western Side of the Bronx River, before crossing over to the Eastern Side of the Bronx River. I believe it will then utilize the Bronx River Greenway, South, through Soundview Park. It will then utilize the Shore Haven Bike Path along the East River to Clason Point Park. It then heads North, along the Western Side of Pugsley Creek to Pugsley Creek Park and South, back along the Eastern Side of Pugsley Creek to Westchester Creek. Again, it will then head North, along the Western Side of Westchester Creek, before crossing the Creek and probably utilizing the Hutchinson River Greenway South, to Ferry Point Park and the East River. Finally it will continue Northeast, along Ferry Point Park and the East River. For more information visit; SOUTH BRONX GREENWAY PLAN .
