Note; If you continue into the park and turn right, North, a short section of road leads to a narrow paved trail that follows the Western Side of Trout Brook. This trail brings you out to Manchester Circle after 0.3 miles

Note; If you continue straight, Northwest, along the entrance road past a small pond to a 2nd parking lot. Pass through the parking lot to a narrow paved trail. Pool, playground and Dog Park. The trail turns South, passing between a ball field & sports court. The trail splits briefly before bringing you West, out to Mayflower St after 0.4 miles.

You'll pass by a spur trail on the right that heads up to Boulevard. The trail continues North, along the brook, then alongside Trout Brook Drive. Across the street was the site of the old Children's Museum, where the full whale used to sit. Come to Farmington Ave after 2.5 miles. The trail continues winding along the Eastern Side of Trout Brook. This section had Mile Markers every 0.25 miles. Cross Fern St at 3 miles where the trail continues along the brook. Trout Brook then turns West, while the trail continues North, along a tributary before bringing you back alongside Trout Brook Drive. Come to Asylum Ave after 3.7 miles and the end of the trail.

Note; A narrow paved trail continues North, along Trout Brook Dr, past the former site of the UConn Hartford campus, to Lawler Rd after 4 miles. This is Phase 8 and will occur after the old campus is redeveloped.
