Starting from the Halfmoon Town Park parking lot; Starting from the Map Board at the back of the parking lot head right along the wide, open, stone-dust Outer Loop Trail. Exercise stations. After 0.3 miles you come to the South Picnic Pavilion, restrooms and a Spray Park. The Inner Trail continues straight. Head left along the narrow stone-dust South Meadow Loop Trail. Again, several trails off the Outer Loop, just keep left at all intersections. This trail follows the outer boundary of the park and is more isolated. Travel along a boardwalk through a marsh at 0.6 miles via the North Meadow Loop Trail. Cross a second boardwalk. A 3rd boardwalk returns you to the main park where you'll find the North Picnic Pavilion and restroom.
Note; Right is the Inner Trail.
Continue left crossing the park road at 0.9 miles passing by a playground. The trail now travels above Route 236 passing by an iron fence surrounding an old foundation. Informational sign. Pass by ball fields and the main entrance road where you'll complete your loop after 1.2 miles. Many other trails crisscross the park.
