Length:                 Bloomsburg Rail Trail; 1.7 miles.

Difficulty:             Easy. Flat, stone-dust/hard packed gravel rail trail with some low traffic on-road sections.

Directions:     

From I-80 take exit 236 to Route 487 south to the junction of Route 11. Head right on E Main St (Route 11).     

To Start from the Irondale Ave parking lot; Take your first right on Iron St and travel less then 1/2 a mile. Turn left onto Irondale Ave and follow straight. When it turns right back towards Iron St continue straight to a parking area. This is the center of the trail.

To Start from Main & Leonard Street; Continue 0.7 miles along E Main St (Route 11), through downtown. Leonard St will be on your right. On-street parking here.

The Bloomsburg Rail Trail follows an old rail bed alongside Fishing Creek. For more information visit; TRAILLINK .

Starting from Main & Leonard Street; Travel north along Leonard St on-road. Turn right along Ridge Ave (residential one-way) then left along Railroad St. Bike Route signs. After 1/4 mile you'll come to the rail trail on your right just before the bridge. This stone-dust trail travels between a steep ridge along your right and Fishing Creek to your left. Very scenic. At 0.7 miles continue on-road along Irondale Ave (low traffic). When the road turns right continue straight thru the Irondale Ave parking lot where you'll pick up the rail trail again at 1 mile. Here the trail consists of stone-dust & gravel. At 1.3 miles you briefly come back alongside Fishing Creek which appears to be used as a local swimming hole. The trail ends after 1.7 miles just shy of Millville Rd.
