The Shaker Multi-Use Trail is the name
I gave this trail as it has no official name. Everything in the area seems to
have Shaker in its name, probably because Shaker
Creek runs through the area.
Starting from Troy Schenectady Road (Route 7); I haven't checked out this trail yet. A BIKE LANE travels south along British American Blvd through a corporate park. After 0.9 miles turn right on Cornell Rd (BIKE LANE) and follow to a circle. Here the paved Shaker Multi-Use Trail picks up on your right at 1.1 miles. You continue south through the woods passing by the Shaker Ridge Golf Course before briefly coming alongside Albany Shaker Rd. Head back into the woods and you’ll come to an intersection. Continue straight on the pedestrian bridge over Route 155. The trail follows the east side of Route 155 south to Airline Drive at 2.4 miles where the trail ends.
Note; From here you can check out the Ann Lee Pond Nature Preserve . Travel on-road (low traffic) down Airline Dr and take your 2nd left on Heritage Lane. Come to the Ann Lee Pond parking lot after 0.4 miles.
From Airline Drive you can cross over Route
155 (Caution no cross-walk) and return north along
the west side of Route 155 back to the bridge that crosses Route 155l. Then
retrace your route back to Route 7.
