Last Updated:         May 6, 2016

Length:                    Shaker Multi-Use Trail; 2.4 miles (Paved Trail; 1.3 miles/Bike Lane; 1.1 miles)

Difficulty:               Easy. Flat, paved trail. Bike Lane.

Directions:

There is no official parking area for this trail. There are commercial parking lots located by Route 7/ British American Blvd.

The Shaker Multi-Use Trail is the name I gave this trail as it has no official name. Everything in the area seems to have Shaker in its name, probably because Shaker Creek runs through the area.

Starting from Troy Schenectady Road (Route 7); A Bike Lane travels south along British American Blvd through a corporate park. After 0.9 miles turn right on Cornell Rd (Bike Lane) and follow to a circle. Here a paved trail picks up on your right at 1.1 miles. You continue south through the woods passing by the Shaker Ridge Golf Course before briefly coming alongside Albany Shaker Rd. Head back into the woods and you’ll come to an intersection. Continue straight over the pedestrian bridge crossing Route 155. The trail follows Route 155 south to Airline Drive at 2.4 miles. You can cross over Route 155 via a cross-walk and return north back to the bridge along the trail. Then retrace your route back to Route 7.
