Difficulty: Easy. Flat paved rail trail.
Directions:
From I-290 take exit 7 to Route 5 east for 0.5 miles. Turn right on S Long St and the trailhead and parking lot is on your left. [Northwestern End]
The Lehigh Memory Trail follows the rail bed of the former Depew & Tonawanda RR, a subsidiary of the Lehigh Valley Railway. See; LEHIGH MEMORY TRAIL .
Starting from the Williamsville Depot parking lot [Northwestern End]; Check out the old red caboose next to the former 1896 Williamsville Depot. The wide paved trail follows the old rail bed Southeast through a park like setting. Tree lined, benches, residential corridor. The trail ends after only 0.5 miles at S Cayuga Rd.
Future plans call for continuing the trail North, to the University of Buffalo, where it will connect to the Ellicott Creek Trailway .
