Difficulty: Easy. Paved trails & BIKE LANES.
Directions:
The Harlem River Greenway is a planned trail in the Bronx, creating a continuous connection from Van Cortland Park South, to Randall’s Island, along the Eastern Banks of the Harlem River. It has been divided into 3 segments for construction. See; Map Below. At its Southern End, you'll be able to connect to RANDALL'S ISLAND PARK , where a 4.5 mile waterfront pathway circles the island. At its Northern End, you'll connect to Van Cortland Park and the Old Putnam Rail Trail . Some sections have been completed: Roberto Clemente State Park, Bridge Park, Mill Pond Park & Bronx Point Public Park. I haven't checked out any of these sections yet. For more information visit; HARLEM RIVER GREENWAY PROJECT .
Funds were approved for this project in 2023. It will be awhile before construction actually begins.
