Length: Auburn-Fleming Trail; 1.5 miles
Difficulty: Moderate. Flat crushed gravel rail trail.
Directions:
To Start from the Dunning Ave parking lot in Auburn [Northern End]; From the junction of Routes 20 & 34 in Auburn follow Route 20 west for 1 mile, then turn left along Columbus St. Continue straight on Dunning Ave for 0.6 miles to a parking area on your left.
The Auburn-Fleming Trail follows the old Auburn-Ithaca Trolley Line.
Starting from the Dunning Ave parking lot in Auburn [Northern End]; Travel South, along the crushed gravel Auburn-Fleming Trail, which starts out with some RR ties still embedded in the trail. The trail becomes a combination of dirt, grass and crushed gravel. Cross a bridge over a brook at 0.3 miles. The brook travels alongside the trail but views are obscured by all the brush. Very isolated and not well maintained trail. Another bridge over the brook at 0.7 miles. Use Caution; No railings. Another brook crossing. Trail ends at Route 34 after 1.5 miles.
